Decision

The Area Committee has given approval to the legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order on Forbes Road and The Quadrant, Offerton (Appendix A) and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £1,000 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Manor ward allocation).

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) – ‘No Waiting At Any Time’

The Quadrant, Offerton – East / South Side

From the projected southern building line of property no. 42 The Quadrant for a distance of 18 metres in a north westerly, then north easterly direction.

The Quadrant / Forbes Road, Offerton – West / South Side

 From a point 4 metres north of the projected building line of property nos. 111 / 113 Forbes Road for a distance of 23 metres in a north westerly, then south westerly direction.

Alternative options considered

To not introduce a Traffic Regulation Order, however this would not promote road safety and good traffic management.
