Decision
The Area Committee has given approval to the legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order on Simpson Street, Stockport (Appendix A) and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £1,550 (to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Brinnington & Stockport Central ward allocation)).
Proposed Traffic Regulation Order No Waiting between 8am and 6pm (Single Yellow Line)
Simpson Street, Stockport - Southwest Side
From a point 8 metres southwest of the intersection of the south westerly kerb line of Royal George Street for a distance of 22 metres in a south westerly direction.
Alternative options considered
An alternative solution available would be to amend the proposals to providing restrictions on workdays only, however with the potential for parking issues on Stockport County matchdays and general weekend commuter parking this could still cause issues for the resident affected.
