Decision
The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways and Transport Services has considered a report relating to the proposed amendment of the one-way restriction and prohibition of entry within the Whitehill Primary School area.
Subsequent to the original approval, it has been identified that the one-way traffic regulation associated with the scheme was inadvertently omitted from Appendix A of the approved report. A further anomaly in the vicinity has also been identified on Horace Grove, where the existing one-way system is in place on site, but the associated Prohibition of Entry restriction is not reflected within the Order.
To address these issues, it is proposed to make a new Moving Traffic Regulation Order which consolidates both the one-way and prohibition of entry elements at each location, whilst revoking the existing Orders.
The Cabinet Member for parks, Highways & Transport Services has then given approval to the legal advertisement of the revised package of Traffic Regulation Orders and Moving Traffic Regulation Orders and associated revocations, as detailed in Appendix A to the report and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the Orders.
Alternative options considered
No other options considered as the alternatives to the proposals laid out within this report would significantly impact the enforcement of the scheme.
