Purpose

To set out the City Council policy concerning new property developments, regeneration projects and physical infrastructure procurements (i.e. street lighting) and their fibre connectivity and network infrastructure whether it be housing, transport/highways, environment/waste, social care, education, commercial or leisure.

Decision

Agreed – That Cabinet approves the implementation of the policy mandating that all new Council influenced property developments, regeneration projects and physical infrastructure procurements (ie street lighting) have fibre connectivity and network infrastructure installed as standard as referenced in section 3.3 of the report submitted, unless exempted by the Chief Executive.
