That the Section 151 Officer approve the write off of £176,721.78, in respect of individual debts under £25,000 in accordance with financial regulations and agreed policies.

Reasons for the decision

3.2All write offs are considered in line with procedure and the decision to write off a debt owed to the council is only taken where monies are considered to be irrecoverable or where the cost of recovery to the council is uneconomical. For information, it should be noted that all debt records are retained in the event that recovery is possible at a future date.
