July 6, 2026 Leader of the Council - Strategic Leadership (Cabinet member) Key decision Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Decision
To authorise the head of resources to procure and enter into an agreement for the M365 license following tender through a framework agreement.
Reasons for the decision
Stratford-on-Avon District Council (SDC) have previously committed to using the cloud-based productivity platform provided by Microsoft and have come to the end of the 3 year contract. The new contract would run from 1 January 2027 with an expected total value of £451,000 over the 3 year term (subject to July price increases).
This would ensure continuity of service delivery.
This decision is sought to secure the lowest price received via a compliant framework and is within budget.
In accordance with the Leader’s Statement Cabinet Procedure Rule 1.2, it is requested that this is authorised by the Leader as the value of the contract will exceed £150,000.
Alternative options considered
1. To give authority to proceed with the procurement as detailed above; or
2. To not give authority to proceed with the procurement as detailed above.
