Leader to authorise minor amendment to AI Policy.

Reasons for the decision

A decision was made on the 8 December 2025 to approve new policy regarding the use of AI for the Council (Public Pack) Minute 384 - Generative Artificial Intelligence Policy for Stratford-on-Avon District Council Agenda Supplement for Council, 08/12/2025 14:00

However, the advances in AI technology and Data protection have meant that some AI tools are no longer compatible or advisable for use by SDC in general or in terms of optimum accessibility. Accordingly, the policy has been updated particularly at schedule 2 and 3 to recognise the update and this has been agreed by the Leader given the circumstances and the necessity to stay abreast of compliant changes in this area. The updated policy with track changes is attached as Appendix 1.

Alternative options considered

1.   To give authority to proceed with the decisions listed in this notice; or

2.   To not give authority to proceed with the decisions listed in this notice.
