Decision

To endorse the approach to the Grant Scheme as Described in the attached Appendix 1 and approve the use of the remaining Evergreen fund (£32,000) for this scheme.

Reasons for the decision

To create a shop front improvement scheme to help businesses to improve their shops fronts and improve the general appearance of their high streets.  This will help to keep high streets within the district attractive and vibrant and keep them as a destination for residents and visitors to use for services and shopping.

Alternative options considered

1. To accept the Shop Front Grant proposal;
2. To amend the proposal; or
3. To not accept the proposal.
