Purpose

To enable the council to complete works to
this scheme it is necessary to enter into a contract with a
contractor. The Procurement of this programme of works was
undertaken via the Westworks DPS in 2022, with the option of direct
awarding up to a further 9 schemes.

Decision

To enter into a contract with EW Beard for the
improvement works at Ashwell House, Painswick

Reasons for the decision

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - Re procure the works. This was
rejected as the contractor continues to complete works on schedule
and within budget, satisfaction continues to be very high with all
KPIs achieving scores of 9 out of 10 or higher.
A cost consultant has confirmed that the cost estimate represents
value for money.
Option 2 - don't carry out the works. This was rejected as this
programme and budget for it has been approved and continues to be
supported by Housing Committee.
