Award contract for the M5 Crossing Groundworks Tender to Timothy Charles & Co providing that National Highways Lease Heads of Terms is formally approved.

Reasons for the decision

The M5 Crossing Project is a time sensitive project driven by EA time windows for habitats (water voles, fish, nesting birds etc). The procurement and construction plans have agreed by the SDC Strategic Leadership Team with regular updates on progress and risks.

Alternative options considered

There are no alternative options. This contract award has followed the prescribed SDC procurement process and is fully documented.
