Purpose

To enable the Council to deliver asbestos surveys for all project's, it is necessary to enter into a contract with a third party to provide project management services. A procurement exercise has taken place and following receipt of three bids contractor Bradley Environments Consultant's Ltd was selected. This decision notices provides the relevant authority to enter in the relevant contract with Bradley Environments Consultant's Ltd.

Decision

To enter into a contract with Bradley Environmental Consultant's Ltd for the purposes of carrying out Asbestos surveys in Stroud District Council properties.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - Services in-house. However, the size and scale of the project was compared against the existing resources, skills and capabilities and it was determined that contracting with a third party would be lower risk and would provide the best value for money for the Council.
Option 2 - The Council also considered not proceeding with the project however this was rejected due to the fact that the project is a fundamental part of the Corporate Plan.
