The Governance & Audit Committee of Swansea Council approved recommendations on 07 October 2026 regarding revenue and capital budget monitoring. Cabinet had previously noted comments and variations including severe spending restrictions, approved virements and the use of contingency and inflation provisions, and reinforced the need for all Directors to minimise service spending. Cabinet also approved the reprofiling of capital project budgets and the inclusion of grant-funded projects in the capital programme.
