About

The Scrutiny Co-ordination and Strategic Improvement Scrutiny Panel provides strategic oversight of Tameside Council's overall performance, transformation, and improvement agenda. It co-ordinates the work of other scrutiny panels, ensures cross-cutting issues are considered, and holds the Council accountable for delivering its corporate priorities.

The panel reviews progress on major transformation programmes, monitors service modernisation for efficiency and accessibility, and examines the work of the Chief Executive's Office and Resources directorates. It holds the Leader and Executive Member for Finance and Resources to account. While advisory, its recommendations aim to improve services and influence future policies, ultimately supporting the Council's Corporate Plan and ensuring it evolves to meet residents' needs.
