Purpose

To award Early Years Development Co Ltd a Capital Grant for the creation of Early Years places in accordance with the Department for Education (DfE), Childcare Capital Expansion Grant.

Decision

That approval is granted to allocate £0.042m in capital funding from the Childcare Capital Expansion Grant to deliver 23 new places for early years free entitlements.

To be given approval to enter into a grant agreement with Early Years Development Co Ltd for £0.042m as described in the report.

Not to award the capital grant.  This would mean the additional 23 places may not be delivered and is contrary to the intended outcomes of the DfE funding.
