Purpose

This report seeks approval to enter into the grant funding agreement set out in Appendix 1 to this report for the Greater Manchester Warm Homes: Local Grant project.  The grant agreement, totalling £0.095m, outlines collaborative staffing, procurement and implementation arrangements between Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver opportunities for energy efficiency improvements in domestic properties in Tameside.

Decision

The Greater Manchester Warm Homes: Local Grant funding of £95,000 is accepted.

Approval is given for entering into the Greater Manchester Warm Homes: Local Grant, funding agreement, and acceptance to the terms and conditions (Appendix 1).

Reasons for the decision

This decision is required to accept a grant funding agreement between Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council and Greater Manchester Combined Authority to fund the creation of staff posts to facilitate delivery of the Greater Manchester Warm Homes: Local Grant project.

Alternative options considered

Do not enter into the grant funding agreement and withdraw from the Greater Manchester Warm Homes: Local Grant project.
