Purpose

This report seeks approval of a contract for the provision of ecological advice from GMEU to the GMCA to support the off-site biodiversity net gain (habitat bank) Responsible Body Service.

Decision

That approval was given for the professional services contract set out in the background report be entered into between the Council and the GMCA.

Reasons for the decision

To provide a contractual basis for GMEU (the Greater Manchester Ecology Unit) based at the Council   to provide ecological advice to the GMCA in relation to its function for BNG Responsible Body services.

Alternative options considered

To not sign the professional services contract.
