Purpose
The charity had approached the Council wishing to occupy a room and a garage space within Loxley House, a Council building currently being operated by ‘The Together Centre’ who are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
Terms were provisionally agreed with the charity to occupy the space by way of a rolling Licence agreement, the Council secured an annual income which includes all utilities, insurance and services (Appendix 2).
The letting was supported by the Together Centre.
Decision
The charity be granted a licence for an annual licence fee.
Reasons for the decision
Having formalised the occupation by way of a licence, the Council would receive an annual income on a rolling basis.
Alternative options considered
Do nothing.
This option was not considered appropriate and would have led to further reduced income to the Council.
