Purpose

The report set out to award Kids Go Wild Forest School Limited a Capital Grant for the creation of Early Years places in accordance with the Department for Education (DfE), Childcare Capital Expansion Grant

Decision

(i)    That Approval is granted to allocate £0.045m in capital funding from the Childcare Capital Expansion Grant to deliver nine new places for early years free entitlements.

(ii) To enter into a grant agreement with Kids Go Wild Forest School Limited for £0.045m as described in the report is approved.

Reasons for the decision

The report set out to Award a grant for Childcare Capital Expansion for new Early Years Place creation.

Alternative options considered

Not to award the capital grant.  This would mean the additional nine places may not be delivered and is contrary to the intended outcomes of the DfE funding.
