To seek approval for the development and experimental introduction of a School Streets Initiative with Livingstone Primary School, Mossley.

Decision

That it be DETERMINED that:

Approval be granted for the development and experimental introduction of a School Streets Initiative with Livingstone Primary School, Mossley.

Reasons for the decision

Successful delivery of the pilot School Streets initiative will have a positive impact on air pollution, congestion, residents’ health and wellbeing and safety on streets surrounding the school.

It is intended that if the pilot is successful this will help promote the benefits of active travel therefore encouraging more schools to participate should further funds become available.
