Purpose

To award Milton St Johns CofE Primary School, a capital grant for the creation of additional wraparound places in accordance with the Department for Education (DfE) Childcare Capital Expansion Grant

Decision

That approval is granted to allocate £0.028 in capital funding from the Childcare Capital Expansion grant to deliver 30 new wraparound childcare places at Milton St Johns CofE Primary School and entry into an appropriate grant agreement. 

Reasons for the decision

The report seeks to award a Childcare Capital expansion grant for new Wraparound Childcare place creation.

Alternative options considered

Not to award the capital grant.  This would mean the additional 30 places may not be delivered and is contrary to the intended outcomes of the DfE funding.
