Purpose
Approval is sort to allow the legal process of introducing a Prohibition of Waiting Order at Market Street, Stalybridge.
Decision
- Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and 2(2) and of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 is granted permission to give public notice of a Prohibition of Waiting Order at Market Street, Stalybridge.
- Any unresolved objections will be reported at a future Speakers Panel (Planning) meeting. If the proposals are subsequently approved, then a legal order(s) will be made to reflect the decision.
Reasons for the decision
To support the delivery of the Market Street Gateway phase of the Stalybridge Regeneration Programme.
Alternative options considered
If the report was not approved the existing parking arrangements would not align with the Stalybridge Public Realm Vision for the Market Street Gateway.
