Purpose

A decision was taken in November 2025 following the commissioning intentions to initiate a competitive tender process for the Integrated Community Equipment Service(ICES) and minor adaptations contract. This had now taken place and following the process the four local authorities were ready to award. The new contract was due to start 1 October 2026.

RESOLVED

(i)     Contractor A are awarded the ICES tender, following the competitive tender process through Oldham procurement service,

(ii)  Contractor B be appointed as the primary contractor and awarded Minor Contract and Contractor C be appointed as the secondary contractor 

Alternative options considered

Stockport and Rochdale are at the end of their contracts; A decision was taken to develop a joint tender across the four local authorities.
