Purpose

The above schools have had authority to procure. The tender exercise has been completed and contractors assigned to each one of the schools. The report outlines the works and seeks approval for authority to award contracts.

Decision

(i)                A contract be awarded to –

•         Meel Group for Plant room works at Audenshaw

•         Meel Group for M&E works at Micklehurst

•         RMD contracts Ltd for – Pipe and Pump works at Milton St John

•         Meel Group for - Heating and pipework at Stalyhill Juniors

(ii)             The Capital Projects team are to manage the project within the approved budget including any scheme contingency spend.

(iii)           Approval is granted for the budget virements between projects as stated in table 1 (paragraph 2.7) and the approved 2026/27 capital programme is amended accordingly to the revised budget allocations.

Milton St John – Pipework and Pumps

Stalyhill Juniors - Heating and pipework

To not award the contract or to appoint a different contractor.
