Purpose

To update on the consultation undertaken on the Homes, Spaces, Places Integrated Assessment Scoping Report

Decision

That it be DETERMINED to:

1. Publish the Homes, Spaces, Places, Integrated Assessment Scoping Report, as at Appendix 1, following the period of public consultation which ran from Monday 24 July 2023 to Tuesday 29 August 2023 following consideration of the comments received.
2. Authorise the Director of Place to bring into effect the project structures for Member engagement set out within section two of this report in accordance with the terms of reference for the Project Board at Appendix 2 and Sounding Group at Appendix 3.

Reasons for the decision

On 13 July 2023, following Executive approval, a new Local Development Scheme was brought into effect, establishing a work programme to, alongside Places for Everyone, also bring forward Homes, Spaces, Places (HSP) as the fourth and final part of a suite of documents which collectively are the Councils Local Plan.

In accordance with that Local Development Scheme, an Integrated Assessment Scoping report was issued for a period of consultation which ran from Monday 24 July 2023 to Tuesday 29 August 2023.

This report considers the responses received to that consultation alongside establishing appropriate mechanisms to ensure Member engagement going forward through the HSP plan making process.
