Purpose

To provide an update on changes which have occurred to designated Sites of Biological Importance (SBI) and Regionally Important Geological and Geomorphological (RIGs) sites within the Borough.

Decision

That it be DETERMINED to adopt and publish the changes to the Borough’s Sites of Biological Importance (SBI) and Regionally Important Geological and Geomorphological Sites (RIGGS).

Reasons for the decision

To ensure the Council continues to utilise the most recent and up to date specialist ecological and geological advice available to it and ensure the Council continues to determine planning applications, formulate policy and manage its countryside based on the most up to date information and evidence available.
