Purpose

The Council had a Freehold interest in the changing rooms pavilion at Garden Street Playing Fields.  The pavilion had stood vacant for a number of years.

It was proposed that a licence to occupy be granted to Hyde Young Peoples Enterprise (‘HYPE’) to enable them to submit a Pride in Place application for funding to help bring the property back into use.

The licence is a short-term solution whilst a Community Asset Transfer of the property is progressed.

That a licence be granted to HYPE to occupy Garden Street changing room pavilion in Hyde, on the terms detailed in Appendix 2.
