Purpose

To obtain approval to the provisionally agreed terms for the granting of Easements to three residential property owners to provide non-exclusive vehicular and pedestrian right of way over a Council-owned service road along with a right to install, maintain and upgrade utility service apparatus under the road.

Decision

That it be DETERMINED that the Council proceed to grant an Easement to each of the individual owners of three, recently constructed, residential dwelling houses located off Astley Street, Dukinfield, SK16 in order to formalise rights of way over and permissions to install, maintain and upgrade utility apparatus under a Council owned service road located off Astley Street, Dukinfield.

Reasons for the decision

To enable the owners of three, recently constructed, private dwelling houses to formalise part of the access route to their properties which comprises a Council owned service road and to enable them to lay, maintain and upgrade utility apparatus to their properties under the service road.  The agreement will provide the Council with a revenue income and also a contribution toward the cost of maintaining the service road.
