Decision
To agree to the extension of the Temporary Supported Accommodation, the Out of Hours Service and ROOT’s contracts with Jigsaw Homes to 30 September 2024
Reasons for the decision
The Temporary Accommodation contract with Jigsaw Homes, which includes 83 Units of critical supported housing for homeless families has now expired. An extension to 30 September 2024 is urgently required to ensure that the Council has a sufficient supply of temporary accommodation available in order to comply with its statutory homelessness duties.
Similarly, the ROOT’s contract which provides accommodation and support services for high risk offenders expired on 30 September 2023. This contract also need to be extended to 30 September 2024 so that a review of the service can be carried out.
