That it be DETERMINED that AUTHORITY is given to transfer the provision of support and care for a property from the current provider Creative Support Limited to the Council’s Long-Term Support Service.

Reasons for the decision

From the commencement of the contract, Creative Support has experienced difficulties in providing support at the property  which has affected the provider’s ability to sustain a positive working and living environment for both staff and tenants. The previous contract provider had also had similar issues to manage with significant difficulties.

Following discussion, Creative Support (in line with contractual requirements) gave written notice in February 2023 that they would, having tried various attempts to resolve the operational difficulties, hand back the support requirement at the property

The Council’s in-house provider, who have a strong track record of positively working with the ongoing difficulties, supported by the wider Adult Services disciplines, are proposed to take on responsibility for service provision at this supported living property.
