Decision

R E S O L V E D – that the Committee:

(i)    approved the release of the Local Plan Spatial Strategy Consultation document

(in Appendix A2 of the second supplementary agenda pack), under Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) Regulations 2012, for the prescribed 6-week period;

(ii)   agreed the updated Local Development Scheme in Appendix B of the papers in the agenda pack;

(iii)  authorised the Deputy Chief Executive in consultation with the Chair of Planning Policy Committee to make any minor formatting and typographical amendments to the Appendix A2 document that do not materially affect its content or direction, prior to the start of the consultation, to ensure it complies with corporate guidelines including appropriate framing of the consultation questions; and

(iv)  authorised the Deputy Chief Executive in consultation with the Chair of Planning Policy Committee to issue formal notification and associated documentation of the intention to commence a local plan under the new system, if required, prior to the formation of East Surrey Council and subject to the outcome of the consultation to take place under (i).
