Purpose

This report seeks approval of the Council's ‘No Access’ Policy. The policy establishes a clear framework for gaining access to Council-owned properties to undertake statutory inspections, safety checks, servicing, repairs, maintenance and other housing management functions.

Decision

R E S O L V E D – that:

A. Approve the ‘No Access’ Policy attached as Appendix A.

B. Authorise the Head of Housing to make minor administrative, legislative and

operational amendments to the policy where these do not materially alter its intent or

objectives.

C. Agree that the policy will be reviewed every three years, or sooner if required by

legislative, regulatory or operational changes.
