Decision

The Committee reviewed the agenda report. Each of the six One Teignbridge Strategy Themes; Community, Economy, Environment, Homes, Infrastructure, and the Way We Will Work, are governed by a Performance Group led by a Head of Service and co-ordinated by a One Teignbridge Ambassador to drive the delivery of actions and projects and to monitor performance and progress.

The following comments were made:

·         C0104 – Percentage of satisfaction rate of town and parish councils with District Council communication – it was requested that this be reported in the MNL when percentage is known.

·         C0106 – Number of town and parish councils Community Emergency

Response Plans - It was up to the Town and Parish councils to arrange their Emergency Response Plans.

·         C0207 – Percentage of compliance with Community Protection Notices (CPN) - It was agreed this should not be flagged red for concern and was a satisfactory statistic.

·         C0305 – Percentage of Town and Parish councils at community events - events were laid on promoted and advertised, and it was up to Town and Parish Councils to attend.

·         EC0501 – savings generated through the assets disposals – the asset team should be adequately resourced.

·         EN1001 - Number of Beach Management Plans in place to cover vulnerable coastlines – Teignmouth is complete and in place.

·         IN1101/02/03 – Public transport improvements - updates on these performance indicators would be included in future performance monitoring reports.

·         Could officers look at whether the performance report be divided into two sections: target issues and those for information.

·         In relation to the Strategic objection The Way We Will Work it was requested that officers look at digitally excluded people, how many there may be, the impact on them and how the Council is helping these residents.

The Chair requested that councillors raising other issues not included on the report with the relevant officers.

RESOLVED

The report be received, with comments as indicated above, and actions being taken to measure the performance of the One Teignbridge Council Strategy as set out in the report be noted.
