About

The Personnel Committee advises on policies related to the Council's role as an employer. This includes matters such as staff terms and conditions, pay policy, the local government pension scheme, and equal opportunities.

The committee oversees the recruitment of the Head of Paid Service and makes recommendations for their appointment to the Council. It also has the responsibility to designate statutory officers, including the Monitoring Officer and the Chief Financial Officer.
