Purpose

Cabinet were asked to approve a
proposed rent and service charge for Council owned temporary
accommodation as part of the budget report.

Decision

Cabinet agreed that the council owned general
fund temporary accommodation and HRA property be charged at a
social rent plus a Housing Benefit eligible service charge, except
where an affordable rent is being charged, as laid out in section
2.9 of the Cabinet report.
