Purpose

On 24 April 2025 Cabinet was
presented with the findings of the Youth Service Provision Review
Working Party which looked into youth provision in Thanet and how
Thanet District Council could support such provisions in the
district, taking into consideration the functions a district
council could provide. This scrutiny review led to some findings
and proposals being put forward for Cabinet consideration and
response as well as senior management comments. Cabinet agrees with
the importance of engaging and supporting young people.

Decision

Cabinet agreed to
consider the recommendations of the Scrutiny Review and respond in
full to each recommendation at a meeting of Cabinet in June
2025.
