Purpose

In accordance with policy and
legislative changes,  cabinet proposed
updates to Thanet District Council’s Tenancy Strategy and
Tenant Management Policy.  Last updated
in 2022, these revisions ensure compliance with recent legislative
changes and align with current social and housing data to address
local needs.

Decision

Cabinet agreed the following, to:
 
1. 
Approve the draft Tenancy Strategy and Tenant Management Policy for
consultation;
 
2. 
Authorise officers to undertake a consultation process with key
stakeholders, including tenants, tenant representative groups, and
Registered Providers;
 
3. 
Delegate authority to the Director of Place to make any necessary
minor amendments following consultation before final adoption by
Cabinet.
