Purpose

The matter relates to Thanet
District Council’s (the Council) allotment plot holders terms
and conditions of use, which have been reviewed and amended in
consultation with existing allotment plot holders.

Decision

Approve the amended Allotment Terms and
Conditions.

Reasons for the decision

The Allotment Terms and Conditions of use for
plot holders holding a Council allotment plot date back to November
2017. They needed to be reviewed based on feedback received from
existing plot holders and from Council staff within the Open Spaces
service area during the review of the fees and charges for plots
and water that occurred over the past year.

Alternative options considered

The Council could decide not to approve the
Allotment Terms and Conditions and to remain with the existing
version from November 2017, however this document is out of date
and needed updating. For this reason this is not the preferred
option.
 
The recommended option is the preferred
option. This will ensure that the Council has up to date Allotment
Terms and Conditions that plot holders have been able to comment
upon prior to adoption.
