About

The Overview and Scrutiny Board is a committee of councillors responsible for holding the Council's decision-makers and partners to account and improving services for the people of Torbay. It acts as the Council's watchdog, monitoring and challenging decisions made by the Leader and other decision-makers. The Board also reviews existing policies, procedures, and practices to identify areas for improvement. Its role is to provide an independent perspective, highlighting effective practices and suggesting enhancements, rather than acting as an inspection process.
