That the Interim Plan
for local government reorganisation impacting on Torbay be
submitted to the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local
Government.

Reasons for the decision

To give effect to the
decision of Cabinet on 18 March 2025 and to enable Torbay’s
initial views on future potential local government reorganisation
in Devon were submitted to MHCLG by the prescribed deadline.

Alternative options considered

No other options were
considered as submission of the Interim Plan for local government
reorganisation had been directed by the Cabinet.
