Decision

i)    
That the Director of Finance uplift the Capital Programme for
Edginswell Station, utilising the allocated integrated transport
fund, to cover the costs of the ecology licence period at a value
of £31,000 per year for the next 9 years, and an additional
allocation of £20,000 for the capital works required to
maintain the planning consent.

 

ii)   
That the outstanding close down actions be completed for Station
Square and further utility works be carried out to de-risk the
future Paignton Gateway project which will subsume its design and
outputs, utilising a revised budget of £323,000.

 

iii)  
That the Director of Finance approve additional funding of
£600,000 from the lease surrender funds for the Pavillion
project, to complete the intrusive investigations and restoration
design work.

Reasons for the decision

All projects were
reviewed and deemed to be strategically advantageous and
satisfactorily compliant in terms of their feasibility and levels
of risk to enable them to progress.

Alternative options considered

The
projects could be put on hold or cancelled and the grant funding
received for them could be returned to central
government.
