Decision

To approve the Youth
Justice Service Plan 2024-25, noting that it has been approved by
the Torbay Youth Justice Service Strategic Board, signed by the
Chair of the Board and submitted to the National Youth Justice
Board.

Reasons for the decision

The
local authority has a statutory duty to submit its
Youth Justice Plan. Failure to do so may result in Youth Justice
Board funding being withheld or delayed resulting in a reduced or
delayed service as specified within the plan.

Alternative options considered

There were no other
options considered as there was a legal requirement to deliver the
Youth Justice Service and produce the Youth Justice Plan.
