? A Family Support Officer in the Family
Resource Team has permanently reduced their hours from 22.5 to 10
hours.

? The Family Resource Team direct work strand has operated under
establishment for at least the last 4 years by a total of 4 hours
per week.

? The Family Resource Team strand for direct work, which includes
work with both children, parents and carers on an individual and
group basis, has operated with a waiting list of around three
months for the last four years, but in the last twelve months this
has further increased due to the long-term sickness absence.

? It is proposed to recruit a Family Support Officer for 16.5 hours
per week returning the ‘direct work’ strand to
establishment and thereby maximising the available in-house
resource available to children, parents and carers for direct
work.
