Cabinet agreed:
1)
That the site of Pontnewynydd Primary School in Cwmbran (show edged
red on the plan accompanying the report) be declared surplus to
Council requirements with effect from 1 September 2015.
2)
To authorise the Legal and Asset Management Service
to undertake a market disposal of the site of Pontnewynydd Primary School.
3)
To grant specific delegated authority to the
Executive Member for Resources to determine any issues pertaining
to the market disposal of the Pontnewynydd Primary School site that will require
member approval, and specifically the disposal price.
4)
That if a market disposal is unsuccessful and a
community asset transfer is deemed a viable alternative then a
further report seeking approval of the community asset transfer be
presented to Cabinet for approval.
