The Committee agreed:

      
i.        
That the hackney carriage and private hire vehicle age restrictions
detailed in the Council’s Policy on the Administration and
Regulation of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licences are
replaced on 08 December 2025 with those set out in Appendix 1 but
with all tracked changes accepted.

    
ii.        
 That there are no changes to the
current requirements for private hire operator signage to be
displayed on private hire vehicles.

   
iii.        
That the term “wheelchair bound passengers” in
paragraph 3 of section 1 of the Council’s Policy on the
Administration and Regulation of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire
Licences is replaced with “wheelchair users”.
