Decision

1.         
That implementation of the trial Electric Vehicle
Charging Infrastructure in Trafford, be approved.

 

2.         
That it be noted, that planned deployment is
focussed on residential areas where there is a lack of off-street
parking locations and provides residents with the ability to adopt
Electric Vehicles.

 

3.         
That it be noted, that for the Trafford-led trial
the installation, operation and maintenance is intended to be
carried out through the existing One Trafford Partnership (OTP)
contract, offering a value for money solution.

 

4.         
That the release of funding, following any
successful award from the City Region Sustainable Transport
Settlements to support the trial of on-street Electric Vehicle
Charging Infrastructure through the OTP contract, be
approved.

 

5.         
That the Corporate Director of Place be delegated
authority to negotiate, finalise and approve any agreements or
documents which may be required to implement this
decision.

 

6.         
That the Director of Legal and Governance be
delegated authority to enter into any legal decisions required to
implement on-street Electric Vehicle Charging
Infrastructure.

 

7.         
That it be noted, that a second EV project
facilitated by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is in
development. TfGM will undertake any procurement exercise, using
the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) grant fund whilst
working with the constituent Councils and potential suppliers. Any
recommendation to award to the successful supplier will be subject
to a future report to the Executive for consideration and
decision.
 

8.         
That the development and potential rollout of a
pilot car club with bases at Regent Road Car Park and Trafford Town
Hall, be approved.
