Purpose
To seek approval to introduce
two disabled
residents’ permit parking bays, and to remove two
disabled residents’ permit parking bays, on Wingfield Street,
Gorse Hill, Stretford.
Also to seek approval to
abandon the proposal for a third disabled residents’ permit
parking bay as the resident has sadly passed away.
Decision
That the introduction
of disabled residents’ permit parking bays on Wingfield
Street, Gorse Hill, Stretford be approved.
That the removal of
disabled residents’ permit parking bays on Wingfield Street,
Gorse Hill, Stretford be approved.
That the proposal for
a third disabled residents’ permit parking bay be abandoned
as the resident has, sadly, passed away.
That the results of
the consultation and comments received be noted.
That following
careful consideration of the comments received, authorisation be
given to make and introduce the Traffic Regulation Order with a
minor modification, as detailed in the Schedules to the report and
as shown on drawing no E9425 – 01 & 02, as soon as is
practicable.
6. That the objector be informed of
the decision made.
Reasons for the decision
To enable the necessary permit parking bays to be
introduced or removed, to enhance resident amenity, in the
interests of highway safety and to discourage obstruction of the
highway.
Alternative options considered
Not progressing the permit parking bays, to which an
objection has been raised, would be detrimental to resident
amenity.
