Decision

1)   
That the draft policies of the emerging Trafford
Local Plan (Regulation 18), Policies Map and supporting documents
to go out to public consultation lasting not less than six weeks in
accordance with the latest Statement of Community Involvement
(SCI), be approved.
 
2)   
That the draft Site Selection Methodology to go out
to public consultation lasting not less than six weeks in
accordance with the latest Statement of Community Involvement
(SCI), be approved.

 
3)   
That a ‘Call for Sites’ exercise being
conducted during the same public consultation period lasting not
less than six weeks, be approved.

 
4)   
That authority be delegated to the Corporate
Director of Place, in consultation with the Executive Member for
Economy and Regeneration, to make any necessary minor amendments
the draft policies of the emerging Trafford Local Plan, its
supporting documents, the site selection methodology and/or the
call for sites exercise prior to commencement of the public
consultation.

 
5)   
That it be noted that a second and separate public
consultation will take place later in the year on the proposed land
allocations and designations of the draft Local Plan.

 
6)   
That it be noted that the final version of the Local
Plan will be presented back to the Executive in early 2026 for
approval for formal consultation (Regulation19) and submission to
the Secretary of State.
