Decision

(1)      
That the creation of a Mayoral Development Zone
(MDC) for Old Trafford Regeneration, be agreed in
principle.

 
(2)      
That the Executive endorse the GM Mayor undertaking
a consultation exercise in respect of the designation of a Mayoral
Development Corporation for Old Trafford Regeneration.
 
(3)      
That the Executive agrees that the Council can
explore with the GMCA, detailed options for an MDC to be created
for Old Trafford Regeneration including the powers and functions of
the MDC.
 
(4)      
That the proposal for contact to be
made with the relevant Government department to outline proposals
for the Old Trafford Regeneration MDC and obtain support for the
proposed MDC to be decided upon by GMCA and the Council in
due course, be approved.
 
(5)      
That a further report be brought back to a future
meeting of the Executive for approval, setting out the outcome of
the consultation and further investigation work.
