Moss Road, Davyhulme Road, Davyhulme Road East, Stretford - Proposed Prohibition of Waiting & Loading At Any Time
June 6, 2025 Corporate Director Place (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
Following complaints of
indiscriminate parking causing obstruction to vehicles and
pedestrians at the junction of Moss Road, Davyhulme Road and
Davyhulme Road East, Stretford, No Waiting At Any Time and No
Loading At Any Time restrictions are proposed.
Decision
That, following
careful consideration of the informal comments received,
authorisation be given to advertise the intention to introduce the
Traffic Regulation Order as detailed in the Schedule to this report
and that, if no objections are maintained, the Order be made and
implemented in part, as indicated below, as soon as is
practicable.
That any objections
maintained be reported for consideration.
Reasons for the decision
Following concerns raised
regarding parking around the junction of Moss Road, Davyhulme Road and Davyhulme Road East, it is proposed to introduce No
Waiting At Any Time restrictions around the junction.
Alternative options considered
Less extensive restrictions
were initially considered, but these were deemed unlikely to
resolve the parking issues reported.
Some limited waiting parking on
Moss Road is being considered under a separate scheme
(TMU1462).
To do nothing would not resolve
any of the issues currently experienced.
