Purpose

Considerable investment has
been made by the Council to develop new dwellings off Chapel Road,
Sale.
 
In order to facilitate the
development and ensure appropriate access, it is proposed to amend
the existing on-street parking on Chapel Road and Claremont
Avenue.
 
This will help maintain the
balance between the parking needs of residents and visitors to
nearby facilities.   
 
It is proposed to introduce
 the changes in waiting
restrictions to improve parking and road safety in this
location.

Decision

1)        
That authorisation be given to advertise the
intention to introduce the Traffic Regulation Order as detailed in
the schedule to the report and as shown on drawing E9400-001, and
that, if no objections are maintained, the order be made and
implemented in whole or in part, as soon as practicable.
 

2)        
That any objections maintained be reported back to
Members for consideration.
